About the Role
Custom by Gia is looking for a highly organized, self-motivated Brand Operations & Marketing Assistant to support the business behind the scenes. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a small business environment, loves fashion and branding, and is excited to help grow a fast-moving apparel company.
Responsibilities:
Create and send invoices to customers
Manage customer communication, questions, and order follow-ups
Assist with organizing files, product info, and backend workflow
Reach out to boutiques for wholesale + retail placements
Help grow and maintain a client list
Support marketing efforts including email outreach, promotional planning, and launch prep
Research trends, competitors, and growth opportunities
Assist with event planning and pop-up organization
Brainstorm brand ideas, drop concepts, and strategies
Requirements:
Must be 18+
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Available for 8–12 hours per week
Ability to meet once a week (virtual or in person)
Reliable access to a laptop and stable internet
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once
Comfortable contacting customers, boutiques, and partners
Skills:
Basic understanding of marketing, branding, or business operations
Comfortable using digital tools (Google Drive, Canva, Wix or similar platforms)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy (especially when invoicing)
Ability to manage timelines, follow up with clients, and maintain organization
Professional email etiquette and customer service skills
Confidence researching and reaching out to boutiques or vendors
Ability to brainstorm creative ideas for brand promotions
Hours:
8–12 hours per week (flexible)

$18 per hour
